OMG those commercials. I vaguely remembered this campaign, but wow. So orgas…organic!

Dude. I only gave up using Herbal Essences THIS YEAR. I washed my hair with that, and made it part of my identity, for 31 YEARS. That's how strong the 90s was with me.

I love that you’re writing about camp! A couple years ago I read a book about arts camp Sunrise Nights and when I went back to my high school reunion, we saw that my middle school arts camp Tri-DAC was now hosted at my HS! We met my best friend in band at that camp and so many camp memories from the late 90s stay with me.

My sister was a counselor at our childhood parks and rec day camp in her early 20s and I think returning to the camp as an adult is also a whole different experience.

I love that you’re writing about camp! I just got back from San Francisco’s Camp Mather with my 9 year old and it helped me touch my memories of Lake Sequoia sleepaway camp when I was a kid. Such a specific smell, trees and heat and pre-pubescence! Although this time I was also obsessed with imagining the lives of the counselors, sequestered in the mountains for two months. The whole experience was very stimulating for my imagination 😂

I love that. And that camp sounds amazing! I also find myself so curious about counselor life—and also kind of amazed at how young they are!

Being taught to use a compound bow by a 20 year old nicknamed Tokyo with Harley Quinn pigtails was a core memory for sure 🤣

I like how women washed their hair in the unlikeliest of sinks.

And how their hair air-dried instantly and in a perfect blowout.
